great news after a horrible match guys.

our next match is against OI old boys. however, they are being withdrawn from the league.

that means... WE WALKOVER THEM! =) another 3 points in the bag for the benedettoes

that's not the best news though..

the 1 match suspension that weiliang, noel and elvin have will also be counted SERVED! CHEERS!

it's true, it's true.. a wonderful match being marred punches and kicks thrown at us. did they think that this is street fighter vs x-men? it wasn't passion for soccer that took over them.. it was UNSPORTING BEHAVIOUR!! UNCIVILISED!! argh!!

why? for resisting to retaliate when they were being punched and kicked at.

well...the final score of the match was 5-2 to us...our first win in the league...but the victory was marred by disruptions and a couple of incidents leading to a total of 6 red cards...3 for each team. well....let me recount the match as i remember it...this was a match in which many regulars of our team were unable to make it mainly because they had to 'sao mu' yeah so we had 2(james wong the SAJC soccer team captain and guangpei) newcomers to the team. we played 4-5-1 with both of them played as centre backs. anyway...we started the match very strongly...stringing passes and winning challenges all over the field, our defense was solid and our midfield dominating...so it was not a surprise we took a deserved lead thru an own goal from an eng choon corner....eng choon went on to score a hat-trick in the first half and yesh added one to make it 5-0 to us at half time.after the 2nd half due to an injury to noel we had to switch our formation a little and we were not comfortable and it showed as we conceded 2 goals(haiz...no clean sheet again) after that...well...all hell broke loose. 6 red cards were shown but we held on for the victory...i dun wish to talk much about the red cards and the fights but just that we certainly didn't deserve wat we got considering wat United FC players did....maybe zhiyang will share his views on it with u guys...well cheers mates....may we play like this every match.

LATEST NEWS: benedetto united's latest signing. 2002 sajc soccer team captain, james wong has signed on the dotted line for a one match contract. this is a great boost to benedetto's defence especially after the horrible number of goals it conceded this month. every team needs a stable defence. we've got maldini on our side! and for the first time... we'll get to see james noel and choon in the centre. stop drooling!

we lost... again. sigh

we went down 2-0 at half time. controversial 2nd goal that caused an outrage by our stand in captain noel teng, questioning the referee's decision to allow play to continue when a player was clearly offside but not interfering with play but still distracted the defenders.

we came out fighting in the 2nd half. stringing more passes and having greater purpose in our attack and we were rewarded with a penalty which was earned and converted by foreign talent yash. 2-1 it stood. the boys in blue were determined to fight for the draw. alas, we failed as the marines scored another.

disappointed with the result. however, we must pick ourselves up for the next match this coming sunday to face United FC. with engchoon back to add some spice into the midfield, it'll boost the team's morale.

bryan, royden and probably junjie are not going to be there.... again

THATS WHY... sometimes when our team becomes so bare that we hardly have any substitutes... we question... "where are they...?"

Been a long time since anyone entered a blog so here goes... BUFC recently joined a league organised by ref yip...we're played 3 matches so far....losing our first match 2-1, drawing our 2nd match 1-1 and losing our previous game 5-1 ='( not the best of starts after a run of 4 successive wins in friendly b4 we entered the league. tomorrow we're taking on marina rangers at 3pm...hope to end the bad run!
